I totally agree re Cilaos Emery – is worth a punt at a price as highly likely to run and with Pentland Hills are the most likely winners for me.

None of the selections in your short list would be good enough, slick enough or quick enough to grace the winners enclosure in years gone past, however that said it is an open looking if not soft 2020 renewal.
Having backed the last 10 winners from 12 renewals I can safely say the winner isn’t in that four you mentioned. IMHO

On first glance you would think supasundae is getting on a bit and had too many chances before but when you look into it and notice the horses that beat him were apples jade at her peak, Buveur D’Air who would be a short price fav for this, sharjah when got caught for toe on good ground you realise what he’s been up against. Took a look at his last race and it was indeed full of promise. Seems very consistent and will run his race, his best of which is could be good enough to win this. 20/1 is massive, obviously it all depends on whether bennie, honeysuckle, envoi etc turn up but say they don’t I can see him going off single figures!

I agree that even if he is back to his best there is a question about him being as good on soft going, but he has won on soft, and indeed twice on heavy going previously, so in a very open race, it’s far from impossible for him to prevail. I backed him at 27s before he won the Matheson in December, so fingers crossed Mullins can work his magic.
I agree about Epatante, looks good from what we’ve seen, but I’m not convinced about his liking for the undulations at Cheltenham.
